V. Selvaganesh

Tuesday, November 1
V. Selvaganesh

Master percussionist V. Selvaganesh hails from a legendary lineage of Chennai musicians. Considered one of the great khanjira (South Indian frame drum) players of his generation, he is also guardian of the konnakol tradition of percussive vocal patterns. Together with a musical ensemble and featuring a special appearance by his father, Grammy Award winner Vikku Vinayakram, he brings precise Carnatic rhythms to contemporary musical forms to spin a mystical experience of exceptional power.
